Barbara Lorraine Harvey

Barbara "Peggy" Harvey, 87, of Fort Dodge, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Grandview Health Care Center, Dayton, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2016 in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 at Sacred Heart Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Vigil at 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Barbara is survived by her children, Pat (May) Harvey of Fort Dodge; Kathy (Doug) Lindner of Fort Dodge; Mike (Sandy) Harvey of Fort Dodge; Julie (Brian) Roethler of Livermore; Joe (Kelly) Harvey of Otho; Matt (Lynnae) Harvey of Fort Dodge; 34 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Mackenburg of TX; and Teresa Garman of Ames. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd in 2004; parents, Clem and Barbara (Korsa) Lennon; infant twin sons, Daniel and David; brothers, Joe and Tommy Lennon; sisters, Irene Lennon; and Frances Rhoads. Barbara Lorraine Lennon was born April 25, 1928 in Clare. Peggy attended school in Clare and graduated from St. Matthew High School. She continued her education at Tobin Business College in Fort Dodge. Peggy was employed with Paul McCarville as a legal secretary. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Harvey on July 23, 1955, and they established their home in Fort Dodge. Peggy was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, baking, and trips to the casino. Peggy loved and treasured spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and a lifetime member of Catholic Daughters of America. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
