Craig Thomas Hanrahan, 40, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, formerly of Fort Dodge, died Saturday, August 1, 2020 as a result of a diving accident. A Celebration of Life with military rites will be held on Wednesday August 12th at 11:00 AM at the Veterans Memorial Park just north of Fort Dodge. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Survivors include his wife Inhyun, sons Dane, Adrian and Richard, mother Denise McAnally and her husband Mike of Fort Dodge, father Joseph Hanrahan and his wife Cathy of AZ, grandmother Emily McAnally, mother-in-law Youngja ko of Japan, father-in-law Masanao Ushiki of Japan, sister-in-law MiJin Choe (Peter), aunts Mary (Marlyn) Gardalen, Diane (Bill) Blomker, Kathy (Jim) Kesterson, Maureen (Denny) Crimmins, Tamie (Kevin) Lunn, uncles Jay (Tracy) Collins, William (Donna) McAnally and Randy Hanrahan, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Richard and Gloria Collins, Denny and Judy Hanrahan. Craig Thomas Hanrahan was born on April 24, 1980 in Pocahontas. He was raised and educated in Fort Dodge and graduated from St. Edmond High School in 1998. He began his career of serving our nation when he enlisted with the Army National Guard at the age of only 17. On August 5, 2001 he transferred to the U.S. Air Force where he was currently serving. Craig was first stationed at Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina. On September 5, 2006 he was united in marriage to Inhyun Kim in Seoul, South Korea. The family then made their home in numerous places where he was stationed including Osan Air Base, South Korea, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, McConnel Air Force Base, Kansas, Tyndal Air Force Base, Florida, and Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Craig made the service to his country his life's work with tours in Qatar, Iraq, Afghanistan, Fallujah, Turkey, Philippines, and Italy. He was a beloved husband and father. Time with his family was most precious to Craig. He will be forever missed by his family and friends. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family
