Dennis Jones Jr.

Dennis R. Jones Jr., 55, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3rd at 11:00 AM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home with a visitation Friday 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife Shannon; sons Shane (Emilee) Jones of Fort Dodge and their children Kayden and Dominic, Megan Jones of Fort Dodge and her children Jaxson and Wyatt, Alec Jones and his daughter, Aurora and Nathan Jones all of Fort Dodge, siblings, Tina Thomas, Tammy Lentsch, Jeffrey Jones, and Chad (Anna) Jones all of Fort Dodge and Gramma Betty Crimmins.

He was preceded by his parents Dennis and Carol (Crimmins) Jones, and Grandpa Earl Crimmins.

Dennis Ray Jones Jr. was born on January 22, 1969, in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1987. On February 15, 1995, he was united in marriage to Shannon Gobeli and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Dennis enjoyed listening to music, working on cars, and being outdoors. He was loved by his grandkids who called him “Poppa”and known by many as “Buckshot”, the nickname his grandpa Crimmins gave him.
