Gerald Obermeyer

Gerald (Jerry) Lee Obermeyer, 58, passed away April 6, 2020 at his home in Fort Dodge. He was born on September 20, 1961 to the late LaVerle and Anna Mae (Bach) Obermeyer in Wakefield, Nebraska. Jerry had a love of all things Nebraska Cornhuskers, enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. He had a very kind personality and a fun sense of humor. He is survived by his love Ruthann Petersen; children David (Nancy), Jessica, DeAnna (Davonne), Joshua (Cherise), Jordayn Halstead (Jacob), Joseph Petersen (Jennie), Jed Petersen (Kristy), brothers, Ricky, Scott (Melissa), Brian (Kris), Steven (Deb), and 11 grandchildren. A private celebration of life directed by the children will be held at a later date due to Covid-19 restrictions. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
