Rockwell City Kay Hildreth Meyer 85, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Sunny Knoll Care Centre, Rockwell City. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the United Methodist Church, Rockwell City, with Pastor Denise Berns officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Church until service time. Private Family Graveside will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Rockwell City. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home is serving the family. Kay is survived by her children, Kyle Lenz and Kolana (Joey Manwarren) Lenz; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Meyer; infant daughter Christine Lenz; her parents, Otis and Grace (Dillivan) Hildreth; sister Deva Albaugh; and brother Lowell Hildreth. Kay Hildreth was born October 27, 1937 at Lake City, Iowa. She graduated from Lohrville High School, with the Class of 1956. Kay attended flight school and worked as an airline hostess for several years. On July 26, 1970, she was united in marriage to John C. Meyer at Kansas City, Kansas. The couple made their home in Des Moines. In 1974, they moved to Rockwell City. John passed away in 1979. In 2015, Kay became a resident of Sunny Knoll Care Centre. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
