Margaret Mary Hamm

Margaret Mary Hamm, 96, of Fort Dodge, died on Friday, August 23rd, 2019, at Friendship Haven Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 28th at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church for Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will take place in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with Rosary at 3:45 PM and Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 PM all at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Survivors include her son James Hamm and his wife Bonnie of Woodbury, MN and their children Charlie (fiancee Alyssa Foj) Maple Grove MN, Kevin (Samantha) St. Paul MN, and Katie, Woodbury MN. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Diebold, husband Carroll in 1981 and her brother John Diebold. Margaret Mary Hamm was born on June 16, 1923, in Casey, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Casey where she graduated from Casey High School. Margaret was employed by Omaha National Bank in Omaha, NE and the Federal Reserve Bank in Seattle, WA. On April 23, 1949, she was united in marriage to Carroll Hamm and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge in 1961. In Fort Dodge, Margaret was employed with the Boston Store, Sacred Heart Rectory, and was a longtime greeter to families at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. She was member of the Holy Trinity Parish and Sacred Heart Rosary Society. Maggie was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all her knew her. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to St. Edmond Catholic Schools.
