Michael A Sullivan

Michael A. Sullivan, 65, of Moorland, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Trinity Regional Medical Center after a battle with cancer. A celebration of Mike's life will be held at a later date. Private family services are planned with Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Survivors include his mother Evelyn Sullivan of Moorland, siblings Bob Sullivan of Moorland, Carol of Fort Dodge, Linda (Duane) Paterson of Barnum and Sharon (Tom) Fraser of Fort Dodge, nieces and nephews Chris (Janet) Sullivan, Chad (Megan) Sullivan, Cassie Paterson and Callie Paterson, 7 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Sullivan. Michael Anthony Sullivan was born on September 18, 1954 in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Moorland and graduated from Prairie High School in Gowrie in 1973. Following his education he went to work with dad at Sullivan Oil and then later worked at Northwest Limestone. Mike then went to work for Webster County Landfill until retiring in 2017. He enjoyed golfing, Nascar races and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Fan. Mike was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and great uncle who will be missed by all who knew him. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
