Michael J. Pergande, 68, of Vincent, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Private family services will be held at a later date. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Michael is survived by his wife Pam Pergande of Vincent, daughters Tracy Richardson of Otho (Dan Scharf), and Jolene (Kenny) Vinsand of Dayton; grandchildren, Samantha (Jacob) Baardson, Hailee Richardson, Michaela Schnetter, Kody Richardson, Shelby Vinsand, one great-grandson Corbyn Baardson, and his brother Rodger (Debbie) Pergande of Purdin, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Dorothy (Brown) Pergande, his sister Diane Potter; and brother, Ron Pergande. Michael John Pergande was born July 21, 1950, in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Lu Verne, IA, where he graduated from Lu Verne High School. Following his education, he was employed as an auto body technician for most of his life. For the last 20 years, Michael worked for Timm's Body Shop in Webster City. On February 27, 1971, he was united in marriage to Pam Kenney in Fort Dodge and the couple made their home just outside of Fort Dodge, later moving to Vincent. He enjoyed camping trips with his family, golfing, and drag racing. For several years he raced his 1969 Chevelle. More than anything his heart belonged to his grandchildren whom he loved very much. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
