Richard J. Fossell

Richard "Rick" Fossell, 56, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. A visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018 with a Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m. at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Richard is survived by his daughter, Shelby of Bloomington, MN; mother, Ruth Vodraska of Fort Dodge; father, Gary Fossell of Mesa, AZ; sisters, Trina (Janelle) McCreary of Des Moines; Teresa (Craig) Savage of West Des Moines; Sheri Vodraska; Mary Vodraska; Tammy Cook; all of Fort Dodge; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Fossell. Richard J. Fossell was born March 14, 1961 in Fort Dodge. He attended schools in Fort Dodge and Minneapolis, MN. Rick loved his time being a black jack dealer at Mystic Lake Casino in Minneapolis. He was a talented salesman. He enjoyed fishing and camping but was extremely fond of the memories he made in the Boundary Waters. Above all he loved his friends and family, especially his daughter, Shelby. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
