Alice Catherine Schliske

Alice C. Schliske, 89, of Fort Dodge, died on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Marian Home. Funeral services will be on Friday, December 19th at 1:00 p.m. Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating with visitation 12:00 p.m. at the church on Friday. Burial will be in the Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will also be on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Survivors include her children, Jim (DeeDee) Schliske of Fort Dodge; Jerry (Lori) Schliske of Fort Dodge; Jane (Mike) Scott of Badger; Bob (Teresa) Schliske of Fort Dodge; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; several step-grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mae (Scanlon) Schall, and her husband Alvin in October 2013; brothers, Robert, Edward, and Gerald; sisters, Eileen and Ruth Alice Catherine Schall was born on July 6, 1925 in Pocahontas. As young girl she moved with her family to Clare. She graduated from St. Matthew's High School in 1943. Following her education she was employed with Iowa Illinois Gas and Electric. On November 8, 1952 she was united in marriage to Alvin W. Schliske at Holy Rosary Church. The couple farmed until 1993, when Alvin retired, they moved to Fort Dodge. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorials may be left to discretion of the family.
