Meeting her in heaven are her parents, son Tim, siblings Winston, Candi, and Mary Ellen. Alyce Angeline Moss was born in Englewood, California to Chester and Kay Moss on April 22, 1947. As a young girl, she and her family moved to Carthage, Missouri. She graduated from McAuley High School in Joplin. She then attended St. Catherine's School of Nursing in Omaha, where she met Mick Flaherty. The couple were united in marriage on April 4, 1970. Alyce worked at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha as a pediatric nurse. She worked as the Office Administrator for Central Financial Services. (Mick said he had to be President if she came to work there but everyone knew she was the CEO). Throughout Alyce's adult life she was always giving to her community, church, and to Saint Edmond Catholic School. She was part of Monican Mothers, served on the library board, was a bookstore volunteer, a hospice volunteer, a Girl Scout Leader, a church greeter, a Sunday School Leader, and a member of 100 Women, just to name a few. Her and Mick received the Spirit of Saint Edmond Family award in 2012. She was hospice volunteer of the year in 2014. Alyce believed in humility, not thinking less of yourself but of yourself less. Alyce was the biggest fan of her grandchildren. Every game, musical, concert, or meet she was there to support them. She loved to play cards and games, work on puzzles, bake, sew, and cross-stitch. Alyce enjoyed traveling, family vacations, and summer times with her family at Twin Lakes.
