Andrew John Phipps Schmieder

Andrew J. Phipps Schmieder, 21, of Fort Dodge passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and then at 10:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Andrew is survived by his mother, Bobbie Schmieder; father, Fred Schmieder; siblings, Daniel Klein of Dayton; Matthew Klein of Fort Dodge; Elizabeth "Libbie" Schmieder of Cedar Falls; Sarah Schiemder; Mary Rose Schmieder both of Fort Dodge; grandparents, Helen and Darrell Richardson of Lehigh; several aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Fred Schmieder and grandparents, Robert and Maxine Phipps. Andrew John Phipps Schmieder was born March 20, 1994 in Fort Dodge. He first attended St. Mary's in Humboldt and then graduated from Manson Northwest Webster in 2011. Andrew enjoyed family, fishing, video games, and he loved his dog, Cubbie.
