Ann A. Larson, 83, of Fort Dodge passed away July 21, 2019 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family. Ann is survived by her sons, Scott of Westminster, CO; Douglas (Cecilia) of Broomfield, CO; grandchildren, Brittany Larson; Molly Larson; Michelle Scafidi; Mark Larson; and Nicholas Larson-Rincon and four great-grandchildren, Alex; Izzy; Erica; and Andrew Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Max and Belva (Hudson) Aarons. Ann Aarons was born September 20, 1935 in Arnolds Park, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Fort Dodge, graduating from FDSH in 1953. She then furthered her education at NW Community College. In 1953, Ann was united in marriage to Paul Larson. The couple first established their home in Ames but then later Fort Dodge where they raised their sons. In 1975, they relocated to Wyoming. Paul and Ann divorced but remained close friends. After returning to Iowa, Ann graduated from Iowa State in 1985 and then received her law degree in 1989 from Creighton University. She practiced law in Sioux City and Nevada. She returned to Fort Dodge in 1991 and was the director of the YWCA. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and past member of the Fort Dodge Bridges Mentoring Program and an active sponsor of CFCA. Memorials may be left at the discretion of the family.
