Ann Drzycimski

Ann Drzycimski, 86, of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday December 17, 2023, at Friendship Haven.

Funeral services will be 11:15 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Friendship Haven's Celebration Center. A visitation will be one hour prior. There will be a private burial at Corpus Christi Cemetery.

Ann is survived by her daughter Sherry (Ed) Anderson of Webster City; Sons, Dr. Nick (Pam) Drzycimski of Fort Dodge, Scott (Kim) Drzycimski of Fort Dodge, and Mitch (Lori) Drzycimski of Gilbert, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren: Terry, Cindy, Julia, Ryan, Maria, Tyler, Alex, Emma, Kara, Kylie, Cole, Joe, and Jessie; 17 great-grandchildren; brother Bob Estlund of Hawthorne, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband, George “Nick” in 2018; parents Robert and Malinda (Pingel) Estlund, youngest daughter Cindy in 1976, and sisters Marilyn Rosedal, Arline Schill, and Ginger Brady.

Ann Estlund was born on July 5, 1937 in Fort Dodge. She attended Fort Dodge Senior High School. On May 30, 1953, she married George Drzycimski at Corpus Christi Church. Ann was employed at Humpty Dumpty Nursery School, Younkers, Dr. Klepper’s dental office and later retired from Land O’ Lakes after 24 years of service. Ann and her husband Nick, formed the first antique collectors group called “Gypsum City Questers” more than 35 years ago. She enjoyed many bridge clubs, a poker club, antiquing, reading, traveling, playing card games on the computer and the pets she had throughout their marriage. She was a Girl Scout Leader, Den Mother, a Monican Mothers Member, a member of Holy Trinity Parish, and volunteered at St. Edmond High School.

Memorials may be left to Almost Home Animal Shelter of North Central Iowa.
