Antonio Castillo, Sr.

January 24, 1964 — July 4, 2024

Antonio “Tony” Castillo, 60, of Fort Dodge passed away July 4, 2024, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family.


A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the picnic shelter next to the bandshell at Oleson Park.


Tony is survived by his mother, Jenny (Garcia) Castillo of Washington; children; Jennifer Castillo of Fort Dodge, Lyndsie Castillo of MN, Joe Bergman of Fort Dodge, AJ (Nathan) Klein of Fort Dodge and Jesseca Montenegro of Fort Dodge and Kylee Castillo;

grandchildren, Kristyne Castillo-Trusty and Mattie Castillo, Jadan, Leila, Adrien, Abel, and Everly Castillo, Ethan and Jade Bergman, Jasper and Carter Klein, Kata‘Lina and Bianka Montenegro; siblings, Rudy Castillo, Jerry Castillo, Steven Castillo, Valerie

Castillo-Warner, Josephine (Gigi) Lopez, Ramona Figueroa, Anita Castillo, Genevieve Castillo, and Grace Baldwin; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.


He was preceded in death by his father, Rudy Castillo Sr. in 2015; children, Antonio Castillo, Jr. in 2019 and Whitney Castillo in 2004 and his sister, Anna Marie Castillo-Schlecht in 1999.


Antonio Castillo was born January 24, 1964, in Los Angeles, California and attended schools in the areas of Los Angeles, Orange County, and Superior, AZ. In 1984 he was united in marriage to Pamela Schossow in Las Vegas. The couple later divorced. In

August of 1992, he was united in marriage to Lori Steinhofer in St. Cloud, MN and they later divorced. Tony was a truck driver and machinist. He owned and operated Awning Cleanse and later became a welder. In 2012, he moved to Fort Dodge to be closer to

his children. He loved to sing and play the guitar. He introduced his children to bands like Stryper and Guns N’ Roses. He enjoyed fishing especially at Lake of the Woods in Minnesota and cheered on the Dallas Cowboys.


Memorials may be left to family discretion.
