Arnie "Buff" Shivers

Arnie "Buff" O. Shivers, 47, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A Celebration of Life will be 4:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2021 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A visitation will begin at noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Buff is survived by his children, Roshone Nickless, Keenan Chance, Dalton Summers, and Jersey Summers all of Fort Dodge; granddaughter, Lakiah Nickless; mother, Scharlean Shivers, father, Cleo McCants; siblings, Ronnie Shivers, Kurt Shivers, Christopher Clark, Darnell Clark, John Clark, Monte Roberts, Erica Clark, Mary Jean Clark-Butts, and Patricia Clark; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step father, Johnnie B. Clark and brother, Tony Mosley. Arnie Oneal Shivers was born August 10, 1973 in Monroe, AL. As a young child his family moved to Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge Schools and as soon as he was able to start working he did so. He had a very strong work ethic and had worked at Georgia Pacific for over 23 years. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
