Audrey Subbert

Farnhamville- Audrey M. Subbert, 103, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at Paula J. Baber Hospice Home, Fort Dodge.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Farnhamville with Pastor Aaron Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Highland Township Cemetery, Churdan. A visitation will be at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the church. Laufersweiler's Palmer & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Audrey was born on the family farm north of Churdan on July 7, 1921, to Henry and Lulu (Meyer) Gollwitzer. She was baptized and later confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in rural Churdan. She attended country school and graduated from Churdan High School, class of 1938. She married Verl R. Subbert on January 13, 1946. Audrey was a homemaker all her life, always helped with the farm chores, and always had a large garden. The couple moved to Farnhamville in 1978. During her life, she was always active in her church. She was a member of Ladies Aid, Good Samaritan Circle, and Thursday Morning Bible Study. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and in her "spare" time she sewed many quilt tops for the church quilting group to tie for people and groups in need. Audrey had a long and happy life and will be missed by her family and friends.

Audrey is survived by her children, Lynn and Marsha Subbert of Churdan, Kathy and Mike Fort of Fort Dodge, and Mary Jo and Larry Moll of Nixa, MO; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verl, parents, and her brother, Lee Gollwitzer.
