"Babe" Leola E. Dillehay, 95, of Fort Dodge passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Private family services will be held at later date. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Babe is survived by her children, Richard Dillehay, Gary Dillehay and his wife Kathy both of Fort Dodge, Cyndee Dell and her husband Doug of Elkhorn, NE, Lana Dillehay of East Moline, IL, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and sister, Bernice Rogers of Denison. Babe is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Margaret (Renze) Hoelscher, husband Red, siblings Ruth Hoelscher, James, and Dick Hoelscher. Leola Eleanor Hoelscher was born February 10, 1926, in Carroll. She was raised in Carroll and graduated from Carroll Kuemper Catholic High School. On October 25, 1947, Babe was united in marriage to Duane "Red" Dillehay. The couple first lived in Carroll and later made Fort Dodge their home. Babe worked in food services at Fair Oaks Middle School for over 20 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. In lieu of flowers please take someone out for a cup of coffee and a donut in memory of Babe.
