Belia A. Hollingsworth, 68, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2025 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Survivors include her husband James Hollingsworth, children Travis (Ali) Stewart of Fort Dodge, Joshua Echevarria of Fort Dodge, grandchildren Tatum, Trey, Colton, Braydon, Taleya, Alaina, Kameron, Karson, Edker Jr., Ayanna, Aareyah, siblings Charlie Jr. (Pat) Echevarria, Freddie (Kathy) Echevarria, Linda Johnson, Rosie (Bruce) Ahrens, Mary Echevarria, Veda (Dana) Conrad, and twin sister Celia Lennon.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie Sr. and Elvira (Sotelo) Echevarria, daughter Angela Stewart in 2018, brothers-in-law Roger Johnson and Greg Lennon.
Belia Ann Echevarria was born July 29, 1956, in Fort Dodge. She attended Catholic grade and middle schools in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1974. Belia worked various jobs throughout her life. She was a meat packer in Waterloo, worked at Friskies in Fort Dodge, then Electrolux in Webster City. Most recently she worked with AFES in Fort Dodge. In 1995, Belia was united in marriage to James Hollingsworth.
She enjoyed reading and watching anything that had a murder mystery or a crime thriller plot twist. Belia was a loving homemaker that liked to cook and share meals with her family. Anyone that knew Belia, knew she loved her grandchildren immensely. She will be deeply missed.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
