Betty B. Kelley, 87, of Otho, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Friendship Haven Health Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 1st at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Doud officiating. Burial will be at Christ the King Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be TODAY from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include her daughters, Jimi Kelley of rural Otho, IA; JoEllen Lee and her husband David of Callender, IA; son, Pat "John" Kelley and his wife Charlene of Otho, IA; grandchildren, Tim Lee and his wife Shawna of Paton, IA; Todd Lee and his wife Pam of Callender, IA; Emma and Ada Kelley of rural Otho, IA; great grandchildren, Samuel Lee and Ollivia Lee; and her sisters, Cheryl (Dennis) Doud of Moravia, IA; and Sandra (Jim) Corder of Ottumwa, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles William and Mildred (Dilley) Ware, husband, James L. Kelley; a granddaughter, Amy Lee; sister, Ila Ware; and her brothers, Harvey and Derrald Ware. Betty B. Ware was born on January 30, 1926 in Davis County near Flores, IA. She was raised and educated in Ottumwa and graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1944. On April 4, 1948, Betty was united in marriage to James L. Kelley. In 1964, the couple moved to Fort Dodge. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles but most of all loved to spend time with her family. Her children were her deepest love and they will miss her always. Betty was wonderful mom and grandmother.
