Betty L. Rhoad, 77, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at the Marian Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 18th at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Jena Finch-Manchester officiating. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. - Family requests everyone to please wear a mask as Covid 19 is still prevalent. Survivors include her daughter Regina Barber and her husband Kraig of Fort Dodge, sisters Mildred Bass of Fort Dodge, Maxine Fortune of Webster City, Martha Totten of Branson, MO, Lucille (Gene) Loeffler of Omaha, NE, brother Ray (Carolyn) Rhoad of Ogden, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Burnis and Fern (Merritt) Rhoad and her brother Clyde Edward Rhoad. Betty Lou Rhoad was born on May 11, 1944, in Webster City. She attended schools there and graduated from Webster City High School in 1962. Betty worked at Mercy Hospital for 11 years and then at Trinity Regional Medical Center for over 30 years before retiring. She loved time spent with her family especially her "grand dogs". She was great mother who enjoyed her friends and her birthday club as well as dinners with some of the girls she graduated with. Betty also liked to crochet and always enjoyed a great chicken dinner from JAMAR restaurant. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
