Beverly Simmons

Beverly Simmons, 88, of Olathe, KS formerly of Fort Dodge and Rockwell City, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Evergreen Community of Johnson County. A private family burial is planned at West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh. Beverly is survived by her sons, Michael Simmons of Paola, KS, Patrick Simmons of Olathe, KS, and Robert "Scoot" Simmons of Spring Hill, KS; grandchildren, Lacy Simmons, Josy Simmons and Nina Musto; and siblings, Sonny Olson and Darlene Phillips. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Fay (Howard) Olson, husband, Robert Simmons, and infant son, Joseph Simmons. Beverly J. Olson was born August 2, 1931 in Fort Dodge. She attended schools in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge High School. On November 22, 1951, she was united in marriage to Robert Simmons and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. In 1976, the couple moved to Rockwell City. From 1977 to 1980, the couple owned and operated Simmons Tire in Rockwell City. The couple sold the business in 1980 and moved to Jefferson. They lived in Jefferson until retiring in 1999 and then moved to Paola, KS. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
