Billy Darrell McElduff passed away peacefully on March 12, 2023 at Good Samaritan Society Manson, Iowa. Graveside services will be 12:00 p.m. Noon Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Rosehill Cemetery, with the church officiating. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family. Survivors include his sister, Judy (Robert) Boulineau of Dahlonega, Georgia; his children, Shannon (Don) Clark of Maui, Hawaii, Jennifer (Al) Call of Ogden, Utah, Billy Wayne McElduff of Bostic, North Carolina, Angela (Greg) Whall of Taylorsville, Utah, Christine Mathias of Long Lane, Missouri, Stephanie (Dale) Wheeler of Rockwell City, Iowa, and Jerimie (Debbie Garrett) McElduff of Fort Dodge, Iowa; 24 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many more loving family members and friends. Bill was born on November 25, 1940 to Thomas and Melvina (West) McElduff in Spencer, North Carolina. Bill was a huge fan of baseball, football, and NASCAR. He had a love for nature and all animals. Throughout Bills life he was devoted to his faith with the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints. Bill was known to many as Papa, Grandpa Mac, or Wildman. Bills greatest gift in life was his personality and character, he never met a stranger. Bills charismatic personality even led him to be in a handful of western films and the movie Animal House. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He was constantly laughing, smiling, or telling a joke. Even at 82, Bill never lost his southern drawl. Bill is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol McElduff; siblings, Pansy ODonoghue, Bobby McElduff, and Tommy McElduff; and children, Belinda Muench, Jason McElduff and Doris Marie.
