Billy L. Williams Jr. 55 of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, May 15, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. Billy L. Williams Jr. 55 of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, May 15, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. A prayer service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2020 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A visitation will be one hour prior. He is survived by his wife, Lavonne Niemand; daughter, Kristi Niemand and son, Hunter Niemand. He is also survived by his mother, Donna "Red" Nichols of Fort Dodge; siblings, Patricia (Roger) Froehle of Ankeny, Robert Williams, Terry Williams, Jason (Tricia) Nichols, Kevin (Alyson) Nichols all of Fort Dodge and Brian (Nicole) Nichols of Johnston; many nieces and nephews and the Niemand Family. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Williams Sr. sister, Kristine Renee Nichols and stepfather, Francis "Dody" Nichols. Billy Louis Williams Jr. was born June 3, 1964, in Spirit Lake. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. After graduation he attended an HVAC trade school. He later attended Iowa Central Community College and received his Culinary Arts and Truck Transportation degrees. Billy loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed NASCAR and being outdoors hunting and fishing. Before retiring due to his illness, Billy worked as a stage technician. Memorials may be left the discretion of the family. He is survived by his wife, Lavonne Niemand; daughter, Kristi Niemand and son, Hunter Niemand.
