Bonnie K. Barnett, 80, of Fort Dodge, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday November 29, 2023, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Northlawn Cemetery. A visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.

Bonnie is survived by her brother, Terry Largent of Oconomowoc, WI; nephews, Mark Largent of Buffalo, MN, and Scott Largent of Verona, WI.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, John Barnett and her parents, Clyde and Laura (Kemp) Largent.

Bonnie Kay Largent was born on October 5,1943 in Mason City. She was raised and educated in Fort Dodge, graduating from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1961. On September 12, 1987, she was united in marriage to John Barnett in Fort Dodge. Bonnie was employed at Starlight for over 30 years and at Iowa Central in food service for a period of time. She also cleaned many area homes over the years. At the time of her passing, Bonnie was working at Hy-Vee. Bonnie's greatest joy came from showering her beloved Boston Terriers with love. When not caring for her 4-legged companions, Bonnie would be seen spending countless hours in her garden.
