Bradley E Leeson

Bradley Eugene Leeson, 76 of Ottumwa, passed away December 24, 2021 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City. Bradley was born January 24, 1945 in Osceola, Iowa to Alfred Russell and Gladys B (Millard) Leeson. He was a graduate of Clarke Community High School in 1963. On November 23, 1984 he married Linda Marie Buenting. Throughout Brad's life he was a resident of Woodburn, then Fort Dodge, until moving to Ottumwa in 1991. He worked in Auto Body and was a member of Ottumwa Radio Control Flyers. He enjoyed woodworking, building and flying radio control airplanes. The love for his family, friends and faith were most important to him. Surviving is his sons, Kip (Jean) Buenting of Otho; Shane (Jennifer) Hartzler of Marion; Chad Hartzler of Denver, CO; nine grandchildren; aunt Virginia Leeson and cousin Kathy Leeson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Linda and a sister, Nancy Lee in infancy. A Celebration of Brad's life will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler Funeral Home with the Rev. John Elkin officiating. Burial will follow at Carpenter Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
