August 21, 1970 — February 13, 2014

Brian J. Coughlon, 43, formerly of the Manson/Fort Dodge area, passed away February 13, 2014 at his home in Colorado. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and then 10:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Clare. A visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a vigil at 7:00. Brian is survived by his daughters, Jasmine Coughlon and Natalie Coughlon both of Surprise, AZ; parents, David and Connie Coughlon of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Shellie Stogdill (Doug) from Panora, IA; nephews, Brody, Kaleb, and Colten Stogdill; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Helen Coughlon and Ronald Fitzgerald and Rosemary Schoon. Brian was born August 21, 1970 in Fort Dodge. He attended grade school at Corpus Christi and Manson. He then attended high school in Humboldt, Floresville, TX, and graduated from Manson Northwest Webster in 1989. Brian attended Iowa Central Community College for two years. While he was in high school, Brian worked for Rost Motor. He moved to Colorado in 1992 and went to work for his uncle at TR Construction. In 1997, Brian married but was later divorced. While married, Brian and his family lived in Iowa for a period of time where he was employed with Farmland in Duncombe. He returned to Colorado and continued to work for TR Construction. In 2009, Brian became employed as an abatement supervisor for Rocky Mountain Abatement in Denver, where he was currently employed. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
