Brittany Weiss

Brittany Jean Weiss, 33, of Des Moines and formerly of Fort Dodge passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines. A Celebration of Life and visitation will be 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Brittany is survived by her children Myranda Leigh and Dylan Michael; mother Teresa (Mike) Martin of Des Moines IA; siblings Allison (Matt) Rubner, Zachary Weiss, Krystin (Robert) Amspoker and Derek (Heather) Martin; along with aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Randy Weiss, grandparents Mary and Robert Enquist and her sister in law Kelci Weiss. Brittany Jean Weiss was born in Fort Dodge on January 19, 1989. She attended St. Edmond Catholic School until the 10th grade when her family moved to the Des Moines area. In 2007 she graduated from South East Polk. Brittany went to the Aveda Institute to become a cosmetologist. She worked at Rick Mosley Hair where she thoroughly loved her job. She would often say her greatest joy was her children that she loved very much. She enjoyed going to the beach and loved boating. She also adored being an aunt and hanging out with her nieces and nephews. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
