Bruce E. Worrel, 66, of Fort Dodge, passed away Friday May 31, 2013 at his home. Graveside services will be held on June 5th at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Doug Rushton, New Covenant Christian Church, officiating. The Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Bruce is survived by his wife, Tamre; beloved daughter, Ann Garvey and her husband Mike of Fort Dodge; and a great grandson, Brexton Hines of Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Pauline (Hanson); grandsons, Saun and Patrick Hines. Bruce Edward Worrel was born on March 23, 1947 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He attended schools here and graduated in from Fort Dodge Senior High School. Following his education Bruce worked at various jobs. He retired in 2003 from the Fort Dodge Community School District after 20 years. On October 24, 1997, he was united in marriage to Tamre Cook and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Bruce was a 32nd Degree Free Mason, member of the Fort Dodge Za-ga-Zig, and was an accomplished pilot. Bruce was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed traveling and showing his German shepherd's around the mid-west. Traveling as far as the east and west coast and even Canada to show his top dog "Timmy".
