Candace "Candy" J. Bartlett, 63, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday, July 29, 2019 in the chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Hatley officiating. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Candy is survived by her husband, George Bartlett of Fort Dodge, son, Kyle (Jana) Bartlett their children Landon and Blake, daughter, Kayla (Tyler) Habhab and their children, Ryleigh and Blayre Habhab all of Fort Dodge, brother Bub (Ang) Johnston of Sac City, sisters Cynde (Maury) Huffman of Davenport and Heidi Roetman of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie Joe Sr. and Verla (Frisbie) Johnston. Candace Jo Johnston was born October 22, 1955 in Sac City. She attended schools there and graduated from Sac City High School. Candy then attended DMACC where she received her LPN. On November 17, 1978 she was united in marriage to George Bartlett in Elk Point, South Dakota. The couple established their home in Sac City and spent a short time in Carroll before moving to Fort Dodge in 1987. She worked at the Marian Home and Webster Health Care. The absolute most important thing in her life was her family and especially her grandchildren. Candace was a long-time friend of Bill W. and Dr. Bob. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
