Carol Steburg

Carol Steburg, 74, of Fort Dodge passed away December 31, 2018 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery at a later date. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Carol is survived by her sons, John Steburg and Christopher (Janice) Steburg both of Des Moines; grandson, Derricke; granddaughter, Zondra; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; sisters, Joan (Gary) Beane of Des Moines and Debra (Jim) Noonan of Monticello. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Elizabeth (Riess) Crosby; infant son, Matthew, and brother, David Crosby. Carol Ann Crosby was born March 24, 1945 in Valego, CA. As a young child, Carol and her family moved to Fort Dodge. She attended Holy Rosary and St. Edmond schools. Following her education, she worked for Globe Union and in the shoe department at Kmart for a number of years. She was later employed at National Gypsum for many years, retiring in 2004 due to ill health. Carol enjoyed gardening, watching movies, and reading. There was no greater love than the love she had for her grandchildren. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
