Carolee Vinson

Carolee M. Vinson, 75, of Fort Dodge passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Kahl officiating. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Carolee is survived by her daughters, Lori (Ole) Deal, Ann (Keith) Andersen and Jane Allbee (Chris Kee) all of Fort Dodge; her grandchildren, Ashley (Cody) Teunissen of Alvord, IA, Katie (Ben) Waynar of Fort Dodge, Keaton Andersen of Okoboji, Kristen (Wil) Van Hill of Flandreau, SD, and Kylee Allbee (Blake Kromrie) of Harcourt; great grandchildren, Dane, Eli, Cole, and Clay Teunissen; Landon and Nolan Waynar; Payton and Taytum Kromrie; and Crue Van Hill; brothers, Dean (Pam) Andersen of Norwalk and Wayne (Beth) Andersen of Dubuque; and sister-in-law, Doris Vinson Andreoli of Hartford, CT. She was preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Gladys (Johnson) Andersen; husband Dennis in 2017; sister, Deanne Wesley and nephew, Kyle Andersen. Carolee Marie Vinson was born June 30, 1943 in Fort Dodge. She was raised and attended school in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High. On April 24, 1961 she was united in marriage to Dennis Vinson. The couple made their home and raised their family in Fort Dodge. Carolee worked for the Fort Dodge Community Schools for over 20 years and retired from Food Service at Cooper School. Carolee spent many summers at Okoboji camping, boating and fishing. She was an avid Hawkeye fan but would cheer on the Cyclones if they weren't playing the Hawks. She loved doing crosswords and Cryptoquotes. She treasured her children and grandchildren and could be seen at all of their events. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
