Charles A. Stanley Sr.

Charles A. Stanley, Sr., 65, of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Charles is survived by his wife, Rorena Stanley of Fort Dodge; children, Charles "Chucky" (Jennifer) Stanley, Jr., Lisa Stanley, Chastity Stanley, Lucas Osborne all of Fort Dodge, and Renee (Cameron) Kennedy of Clare; siblings, Beverly Alexander, Oogie Stanley, Nikki Bartley, Robert "BooBoo" Stanley, and Herman Stanley, Jr., several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman, Sr. and Thelma (Umbhaugh) Stanley, grandchildren, Joseph Kennedy and Brayden Osborne, siblings, Ricky Joe Stanley, Sherill Pelham, Sherry Stanley, Jeannie Eakley and her twin, Joan Stanley, Linda Riley, June Graves, and Vicky Bierworth and his beloved dog, Buddy. Charles Allen Stanley, Sr. was born August 26, 1954 in Iowa City, Iowa. He eventually moved to Fort Dodge and was married twice before marrying his third wife, Rorena (Klapps) Stanley. Charles spent most of his free time "junking" and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also leaves behind his dog friends, Bobo, Nikkos, Chico, Sameh, and Johnny. Memorials may be left to discretion of the family.
