Rockwell City Charles C. "Chuck" Hedman, 81, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Church of Christ Rockwell City from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 pm. **Please Note the Date of Service** Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family. Chuck is survived by his wife Linda, children Jeff (Donna) Hedman of Lohrville, Chris Hedman of Des Moines, Jeri (Roy) Bales of Early, John (Lisa) Hedman of Ankeny, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, sister Vonnie (Bob) McCarty of South St. Paul, MN, Mary Lou (Vic) Reese of Gardendale, TX, and Betty Wilson of Poynette, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Fern (Johnson) Hedman, brothers Roger Hedman, Allen Hedman, mother-in-law Vivian Stephenson and brother-in-law Vernon "Butch" Stephenson. Charles C. Hedman was born July 20, 1940 in Willmar, Minnesota. He graduated from Rockwell City High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On September 9, 1977 in Oregon, Illinois, Charles was united marriage to Linda Stephenson. Chuck worked for Calhoun County REC for 40 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member Jaycees, AMVETS and Union IOUE Local 234C. Chuck enjoyed telling a good joke, watching NASCAR, woodworking, reading, and gardening.
