Charles (Chuck) F. Reis, age 77, of Fort Dodge passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. NEW TIMES A Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. A visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date. Charles is survived by his wife, Rosalie; children, Carol (Donnie D.) Dencklau of Vincent; Jason (Tiffany) Reis of Greenbay, WI; Jodi (Dan) Entsminger of Fort Dodge; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, with one on the way; brother, Jim (Carol) Reis of Fort Dodge and a special cousin, Carolyn Fitzner of Brighton, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Izelle (Echelberger) Reis; and a brother, George. Charles Francis Reis was born January 15, 1938 in Fort Dodge. He attended schools in Moorland and graduated from Moorland Consolidated School. Following his education Chuck began working at the Fort Dodge Messenger as a Pressman. Chuck was enlisted in the National Guard from 1955 to 1963. On June 2, 1959 he was united in marriage to Rosalie Stanek at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Moorland. The couple made their home in Fort Dodge. In 1974, Chuck purchased Kepler Printing Company. He retired from the printing business this past September. Chuck was a charter member of Evening Lions. Chuck took great pride in fixing things and he truly enjoyed camping with his family. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
