Charles "Chuck" Robeson, 52, of Fort Dodge passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at New Covenant Christian Church with Rev. Doug Rushton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Chuck is survived by his wife, Clara; children, Faylea Trout; Jane (Terry) Beekman; Eugene Robeson; and Dustin Brown all of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Morgan Trout; James Williams; Kinsey, Kammie, and Koltyn Beekman; Julia, Damian, and Skyla Robeson; brothers, Jessie of Florida; Edward; George; Larry and Butch all of North Carolina; sisters, Mary of South Carolina and Tasha of North Carolina; sister-in-laws, Charlotte (Dave) Douglas of Ankeny; Janice Trainer of Fort Dodge; Nancy (Tom) Dawson of Gilmore City; brother-in-law, Edward Summers of Fort Dodge; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Robeson; mother, Leatrice Henry; step father , Larry Henry; brother, Mike Robeson; father and mother-in-law, John and Leota Summers; sisters-in-law, Ilene Harlan and Joyce Daisy, and brother-in-law, Leslie Summers. Charles Robeson was born September 9, 1961 in Iowa City. He was raised in the Fort Dodge and Webster City areas, graduating from Webster City High School. On December 30, 1978, he was united in marriage to Clara Summers at the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church in Fort Dodge. Chuck worked in the Restaurant Industry in North Carolina for several years and as a C.N.A in Fort Dodge. Chuck was a family man. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, especially for their birthdays and on holidays. Chuck enjoyed collecting crosses, dragons and wood carving, which his good friend Bob Dolota taught him. Game and card night with family and friends at Central Place Apartments meant a lot to him. The couple had recently celebrated 35 years of marriage. He was a member of New Covenant Christian Church. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
