Rockwell City Charlotte M. Haub 91, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Sunny Knoll Care Centre, Rockwell City. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the United Methodist Church, Rockwell City, with Pastor Anita Bane officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Church until service time. Private Family burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Rockwell City. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Charlotte is survived by her children, John (Olga) Haub of Lake Oswego, OR, Jane (Rick) Buckley of Canton, IL, Joan (Larry) Ramthun of Twin Lakes, and Jim (Janet) Haub of Rockwell City; 9 grandchildren, Katy Haub, Jason Ramthun, Michelle Siefken, Jenny Winterfeld, Jaime Haub, Jessica Haub, Adam Buckley, Dr. Lucas Buckley, and Sarah Love Buckley; 14 great-grandchildren, Chase Scheiddeger, Morgan Ramthun, Calvin Lawrence Ramthun, August "Gus" Ramthun, Jacob Wheelock, Madison Siefken, Jackson Siefken, Paelyn Winterfeld, Maddox Winterfeld, Paxley Winterfeld, Nora Buckley, Lilly Buckley, Ava Charlotte Buckley, and Aiden Buckley; sister-in-law Bette Knapp of West Des Moines; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin "Cal" G. Haub; her parents, Charles Henry and Mae Lillian (Flammery) Knapp; brothers, Leroy Knapp, Martin Knapp, Eldred Knapp and Leonard Knapp; and sister Marjorie Knapp Headley. Charlotte Mae Knapp was born August 24, 1930 on a farm near Lohrville, Iowa. Charlotte graduated from Lohrville High School and attended X-ray Technician School in Fort Dodge. Following her education, she worked as an x-ray technician at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge. On January 22, 1950 she was united in marriage to Calvin George Haub at Lohrville. The couple owned and operated elevators in Rands, Lohrville, and Piper for many years until their retirement. The couple made their home in Rockwell City and later at Sunnyview Independent Living. Cal passed away in 2010. In 2011, Charlotte became a resident of Sunny Knoll Care Centre. Charlotte was a member of the United Methodist Church, UMW, an active golfer and past Club Champion, Republican County Chairperson, Sunday School teacher, and past 4-H Leader.
