Cheryl Marie Allen

Cheryl M. Allen, 60, of Clare, passed away Wednesday January 10th, 2024, at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, January 19, 2024, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fort Dodge. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Clare. There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.

Cheryl is survived by her son, Derek Allen of Clare; parents, Jim and Mary Ann Allen of Clare; brothers, Phillip Allen of Clare, Brian (Lynn Tjarks) Allen of Fort Dodge, and Kevin Allen of Leavenworth, KS; sisters, JoAnn (Dirk) Sandvig of Colorado Springs, CO, Elizabeth (Tim) Bossinger of Colorado Springs, CO, Marjorie (Keith) Schroeder of Aurora, CO, Theresa Allen of Bedford, TX, and Gina (Tyric) Giddings of Dallas, TX; as well as 2 nieces and 10 nephews.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Rose Allen and Mark and Mary Margret Condon.

Cheryl Marie Allen was born on March 24, 1963, in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Saint Edmond High School in 1981 and attended Clarke University, graduating in 1984 with an accounting degree. Cheryl was a computer programmer with West Central Cooperative, and later Landus Cooperative for 26 years before moving back home to Clare in 2020, where she continued her career in computer programming. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, crocheting and cooking. Cheryl was a member of Holy Trinity Parish.
