Christine Carpenter

Christine Denise Carpenter died peacefully at the Paula J Baber Hospice Home on May 18, 2024 in Fort Dodge, IA at the age of 59 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Christine graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1982. Christine was a stay-at-home mother until 1999 when she began working for the Fort Dodge School System as a Para Educator until 2023. Chris’s pride was in her students and she shared her passion for learning with hundreds of children over the years.

Christine led a simple life and was very laid back. She was known to stand firm in what she believed in. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Christine is survived by her parents, Robert and Pamela McCaffery, Fort Dodge, IA. Her children Cassie Carpenter, Fort Dodge, IA; Cody Carpenter, Cedar Falls, IA; Taylor Carpenter, Fort Dodge, IA; Teal Carpenter, Boone, IA; and Matt Carpenter, Fort Dodge, IA. Her siblings Ronni Snider, of Des Moines, IA; Robin Smith, of Fort Dodge, IA and Rob McCaffery of Urbandale, IA. She is preceded in death by grandmother Patricia Klinger, Fort Dodge, IA.

The celebration of her life will be on Saturday, May 25th at 4:00pm at Laufersweiler Funeral Home with a reception to follow at funeral home. Memorial visitation will be Saturday May 25th from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the funeral home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Christine’s life.
