Clara J. Robeson, 64, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, at her home.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home with Pastor John Elkin officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home.
Clara is survived by her children Faylea Trout of Dayton, Jane (Terry) Beekman of Fort Dodge, Eugene Robeson of Fort Dodge, honorary son Dustin Brown of Vincent, grandchildren Morgan, James, Kinsey, Kammie, Koltyn, Otello, Julia, Damian, and Skyla and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings Charlotte Douglas of Winterset, Janice Trainer of Fort Dodge, Nancy (Thomas) Dawson of Gilmore City, Edward Summers (Linda Erickson) of Fort Dodge, sister-in-law Linda Summers of Fort Dodge, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, especially her best friend, Connie Espeland.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Leota (Garrett) Summers, husband Charles in 2014, siblings Leslie, Ilene, Joyce, Dennis, Phyllis, and John.
Clara Jane Summers was born December 4, 1959, in Fort Dodge. She attended Eagle Grove Schools. Clara worked as an environmental specialist at the Marian Home in Fort Dodge before her retirement due to her health. Clara was an avid organized collector. She collected many things but notably, everything Giraffe. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family but mostly loved her time spent with her grandchildren.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
