Rockwell City Clark A. Johnson 67, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 4, 2022 at Trinity Regional Medical Center, Fort Dodge. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022 at St. Pauls Lutheran & Presbyterian Church, Rockwell City, with Pastor Denise Berns officiating. Burial of casket will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Rockwell City. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, at St. Pauls Lutheran & Presbyterian Church, Rockwell City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family. Clark is survived by his wife Brenda; son Adam (Amanda) Johnson of Rockwell City; daughter Jill (Jeff) Brock of Platte City, MO; four grandchildren, Brantley Johnson, and Hadley, AnnaBeth, and Bowen Brock; sisters, Elaine (Tim) Lange of Rockwell City, and Michelle (Mac) McKinnon of Zephyrhills, FL; brother Wayne (Vicki) Johnson of Ashland, MO; sisters-in-law, Sheila Remsburg of Lake City, Cathy (Mark) Lietz of Yetter; brother-in-law Brett (Kelly) Bruggeman of Stillwater, MN; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ann (Hansen) Johnson; sister Phyllis Stoffregen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Doris Bruggeman; brother Scott Johnson; and brother-in-law Mark Remsburg. Clark Alan Johnson was born June 16, 1955 at Lake City, Iowa. He graduated from West View High School in Lake City, with the Class of 1974. He then graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg. On June 26, 1976 he was united in marriage to Brenda Bruggeman at Lake City. Clark worked in the pork industry for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran & Presbyterian Church, and the Cherokee Pork Producers. Clark never missed a chance to be surrounded by family and friends with a Crown and Diet Pepsi in hand. His life was dedicated to his wife, children, and grandchildren never missing an event, performance, or activity. He loved coaching, catching, rebounding and being the first person to receive a defeated or triumphant hug. His best smile and twinkle in his eyes was when he saw his grandchildren.
