Coleton Wetzel

Coleton L. Wetzel, 25, of Fort Dodge died Thursday, October 19, 2023. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2023, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A prayer service and time of sharing will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Coleton is survived by his mother Karla Wetzel of Fort Dodge, father Steve Wetzel of Jefferson, sister Jaide Wetzel (Brian Berg) of Fort Dodge, nephews Ryan, Tuxley, Axeton, Brooks, paternal grandfather Dick Leedom. Coleton is also survived by his Godparents Tim and Staci Blair, other sisters Kristin Florea, Megan White, and Shanae Breiholz, aunts and uncles Ann and Ron Schmidt, Steve and Jody Caldwell, Denny and Jamie Caldwell, Dave and Joyce Caldwell, Lana and Dave Chase, Dawn Potter, Ginger and Jeff Kondrath, Gregg and Kathy Bishop, Donnette and Steven Sather. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Leroy and Lavonne Caldwell, paternal grandmother Evelyn Leedom and Lauren Wetzel. Coleton Lee Wetzel was born May 17, 1998, in Fort Dodge. At the time of his death Coleton was working at Precision Millwright. Coleton was a witty, kindhearted soul. His laugh was infectious, and he enjoyed being the "funny guy". Coleton loved golfing and fishing but most of all he loved being with his friends. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
