Collette Coughlon , 97, of Fort Dodge passed away on November 30, 2024 at the Marian Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday on December 6, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy, officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Collette is survived by her children, Tim Coughlon (Patty) of Denver, CO, Joni Coughlon of Sioux City, IA and Jane Coughlon Ladell (Ray) of Sun Prairie, WI; grandchildren, Jay Coughlon, Kari Coughlon, Shawn Coughlon, Collette Dohr, and Nick Coughlon Ladell; 10 great-grandchildren. Collette is preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Mae (Connors) Fowler; her husband Gene Coughlon in 2020; siblings Clement Fowler, Frances Ryan, Jeanie Dobmeier, Charleen Senay, and Modesta Gross.

Collette Fowler was born September 23, 1927 near Manson, IA. She graduated from Barnum High School and continued her education at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Fort Dodge. Collette was employed at the former Mercy Hospital, Fort Dodge Medical Clinic, and was a instructor for the Medical Assistant Program at ICCC. In 1950, she was united in marriage to Gene Coughlon at Sacred Heart Church and celebrated 70 years of marriage before his passing.

The family would like to thank the Marion Home staff for their caring support while Collette resided there.
