Curtis W. Bradshaw, 60, of Harcourt passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13th at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Gowrie Township Cemetery in Gowrie. Visitation will be held on Friday July 12th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Survivors include his wife, Linda; sister-in-laws, Marlene McCabe of Scottsdale, AZ; Marlys (Terry) Gentry of Fremont, NE; Jan (Bill) O'Leary of Garner, IA; Kay (Steve) Collen of Dayton, IA; Sheila (Harlan) Will of Kansas City, MO; brother-in-laws, Bill (Teresa) McCabe of Dexter, MI; Jim (Teri) McCabe of Manson, IA; Larry "Dino" McCabe of Moody, AL; his very close Goddaughter, Holly Murphy of Overland Park, KS; aunts, Zatha Loehr, Opal Elmore, Dorothy Theiss, and Bev Michehl all of Fort Dodge; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and his beloved dog "Lincoln". He was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Velma (Showers) Bradshaw, and an infant sister, Barbara Jean Bradshaw. Curtis Wayne Bradshaw was born on September 5, 1952, in Fort Dodge. He attended schools in Gowrie and graduated from Prairie Community High School. Curt then attended Iowa State University. Following his education, he farmed in the Harcourt area his entire life. Besides being an accomplished pilot at the age of 16; he enjoyed golfing, NASCAR, Iowa State Football games, and especially spending time with his family and friends. On June 4, 1977, Curt was united in marriage to Linda McCabe and the couple made their home on a farm near Harcourt. Curt and Linda spent many summer evenings together on their patio at the farm.
