Daiqualis C. "Kottis" Poe, 17, of Fort Dodge died Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2019 at Saint Olaf Lutheran Church with Rev. Kelly Moore officiating. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Daiqualis is survived by his mother, Diana Foy; father, Sylvester Poe; siblings, Deron (Katie) Foy; De'Angelo (Kalila Habhab) Foy; Dalaina Foy; Sylvester W. Poe Jr., Savena Poe-Cox; grandmothers Marjorie Foy and Jane Poe, all of Fort Dodge; uncles, Percy Foy; Larncey (Jennifer) Foy; Earl Foy; Jimmy Poe; Tommy Poe, James Poe, Tyrone Poe, Lesell Poe; aunts, Margaret Foy; Ethel Foy; Veronica (Derome) Robertson; Theresa Foy and Mary Poe; three nieces and two nephews; many cousins; his brothers, Tyron (Takira), Percelis, Traius, Tavarius, and Perkell Gully; and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jimmy Poe Sr. and Johnny Pickett; great grandmother, Anna Bertha Foy; and aunt Bertha Foy. Daiqualis Cornell Poe was born May 20, 2002 in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge Schools and was a senior at Fort Dodge Senior High School. He loved being outdoors especially riding four wheelers. When not outdoors you could find him playing Xbox and hanging out with friends and family. Daiqualis especially enjoyed watching Western movies. He had a huge heart, a million dollar smile, and was respectful to everyone he met. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
