Dale A. Irvine, 90, of Fort Dodge, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Friendship Haven Health Center. It was Dale's wishes to be cremated. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 2nd at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the V.F.W. Post 1856 & U.S. Navy Honor Guard. The visitation will be on Friday beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at Sacred Heart Church. . Dale is survived by his daughter, Deb Telschaw and her husband Allan; sons, Kevin and Alan Irvine all of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Amanda Telschaw of Encinitas, CA; Joshua (Jenny) Telschaw of Urbandale, IA; Megan (Kollin) Moore of Atlantic Beach, FL; Taylor Irvine of Boone, IA; great grandchildren, Quinn, Savannah, Owen, and Devon; sisters, Gladys Cacek of Sutherland, IA; and Bernice Henderson, of Strasburg, VA. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Esther (Devlin) Irvine, his wife, Lois G. Irvine in 2007; his son, Keith, and a brother, Neil Irvine Dale A. Irvine was born November 4, 1922 at Shady Oak just south of Fort Dodge. He attended Shady Oaks School and graduated from Otho high school in 1942. Dale served in the U.S. Navy in Australia and the Philippines from 1943 through 1945 where he had an honorable discharge. He then worked at Shady Oaks Brick Yard, Johnston Clay Works, and Gralenk Motors. In January 17, 1952, he was united in marriage to Lois G. Faiferlick and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge.
