Dale E. Pierce Sr., 71, of Callender, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
A Celebration of Dale’s life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife Cynthia of Callender, son Dale Edward “D.J.” Pierce Jr. of Arkansas, son Douglas Godfrey of Fort Dodge, 9 grandchildren Morgan, Cameron, Chase, Justin, Braylynne, James, Jaxon, Elisabeth, and Myles, brothers Roger Smith of Omaha, NE, Randy (Sue) Smith of Union, KY, Jon McCormick of Fort Dodge, and Jerome McCormick of Fort Dodge, sisters, Particia (Gary) Strunk, Renee Pfeifer of Washington, IA, JoAnn (John) Pierce of Clarinda, Eileen Long of Fort Dodge, and Elisabeth (Don) Richards of MO, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Loren and Frances Pierce, Earl and Pearl Kelley, stepdad Richard McCormick, daughter Heidi Marie Pierce and son Robert Pierce.
Dale Edward Pierce was born on November 7, 1952, in Lake City. He was raised and educated there until the family moved to Clarinda where he graduated from high school. Dale then attended some college courses on automotive technology. On December 31, 1985, he was united in marriage to Cynthia Godfrey and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. In 1990, the couple moved to Callender. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching football. A big passion of Dale’s use to be drag racing his 1969 Chevy Camaro. Card night with family and friends was a highlight of his week. Dale was a past member of the Eagles Club.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
