September 25, 1945 — August 17, 2015

Dan G. Miller, born 9-25-45 in Ft. Dodge IA to Glen and Edna Miller who preceded him in death. He passed away August 17, 2015 at the Fairview Hospice in Burnsville MN after a brave four year struggle with Neuro-endocrine Cancer. He will be terribly missed by his family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. He is survived by his brothers Steve (Angela) Ankeny IA, Phil (Pam) Fort Collins CO; sister, Pamela Miller Mountain View CA, many relatives and friends and partner for over forty years, Arlo Marie Darvial. Dan was a fire fighter and police officer for the city of Burnsville for many years and retired in 2005. He is also a Viet Nam veteran, having earned several medals including the Bronze Star. He was greatly loved and admired by all for his strong work ethic, honesty and generosity. He could fix almost anything and was an artistic landscaper. He was a graduate of St. Thomas in St. Paul, and maintained many school and Army friends. He spent many years helping his folks in Fort Dodge while still working and assisted many friends with projects. He always had time to help anyone in need. He loved snowmobiling, traveling, hiking in the mountains and working with gadgets. Thanks to the caring staff at Fairview Ridges Hospital and Hospice who were so kind to Dan. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Corpus Christi Church with Rev. Joe Dillinger officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Lufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.
