Daniel Winkler

Daniel "Boone" Eugene Winkler was born April 24, 1970 at Fort Wainwright Military Base, Fairbanks, Alaska to Ara and Judith Winkler. As an Army brat, the family then moved to San Antonio where his father retired from the Army. He then moved to Roswell, New Mexico where he finished grade school and graduated high school in 1989. Working various jobs, he welcomed his son Jacob into the world in December of 1996. Jacob was what he thought to be his greatest accomplishment, learning recently that he was soon to be a grandfather. This brought him great joy to know. Daniel enjoyed spending time with family and liked spending time at the river fishing. Daniel is preceded in death by his Father and Mother. He is survived by his son Jacob, his daughter-in-law Olivia, sister Judi Drow, brothers Robert, Lawrence, Stacy, and Tracy (Natalie) Winkler, and many nieces and nephews. Daniel will be greatly missed for his love of his family and his willingness to go the extra mile to help all who were near and dear to him, which is one of the many things that made him such a great person. He passed away at home on December 23, 2020.
