Darlene Regina Johnson

Darlene R. Johnson, 88, of Fort Dodge, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Darlene is survived by her sons, Al Johnson and his wife, Barb, of Fort Dodge; Rod Johnson of Fort Dodge; daughter, Joyce Johnson of Fort Dodge; sister, Marilean Kelly of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Joy; Marc; Brian and his wife, Liesel; Troy; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Livi Johnson; step-grandchildren, Mark and his wife, Susan; Luke and his wife, Abby; Tommy; step-great-grandchildren, J.T.; Griffin; Josie; Maxx; Ezra; and Kash. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Anna Doyle; brother, Jack Doyle; sisters, Cecila Fisher; Joan Johnson; son, Bill; and grandson, Kyle. Darlene R. Doyle was born February 6, 1928 in Humboldt. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1946. In 1949, she was united in marriage to Al Johnson at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Humboldt. Al and Darlene established Industrial Manufactory and Equipment Company in 1964. The couple then established Fort Dodge Plastics Company in 1970. Darlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She lived her life with the deepest faith of the Catholic Church. Darlene will be greatly missed by her family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Catholic Daughters of America. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
